Land Rover Legends Event Showcases Best Of The Brand

As part of Land Rover’s 70th anniversary jubilations, Land Rover Legends is a new event for 2018 that will celebrate the very best of the marque, both past and present.

Land Rover Legends will be held at Bicester Heritage on May 26 and 27. On display will be pre-production models and prototypes, military derivatives, rare conversions and a showcase of classic models from clubs across the country. Motoring experts will be hosting forums and presentations, regaling fans of the brand with fascinating stories and interesting titbits from their adventures, explorations and preservation efforts.

And the award goes to…

The event will incorporate The Land Rover Legends National Awards, supported by an expert panel of judges. Among the awards is The Footman James Land Rover Legends Award. The award will be granted to a winning story that depicts the true essence of the iconic marque.

The lucky winner will be interviewed at the event and will see their beloved Landy displayed on the Footman James stand. The prize also includes a pair of VIP weekend tickets, a feature in the programme and Bicester Heritage goodies. And no award is complete without a shiny trophy…

There are three further awards taking place over the course of the event which are:

  • Most Original Vehicle – An original, authentic and unrestored example that shows manufacturer’s character and patina of age.
  • Best Restored Vehicle – a partial or completely restored Land Rover that has been finished to its original factory specification.
  • Best Bespoke Vehicle – a developed or converted Land Rover that showcases its owner’s vision, interest or purpose.
