Top 10 Things to Do at the Classic Motor Show

The highly anticipated Classic Motor Show is only days away (Nov 11-13) at NEC, Birmingham, and the excitement keeps brewing. The line-up for this prestigious show will see Luxurious Lambos, pulsating Porsches, fabulous Ferraris, magnificent Maseratis and lavish Lancias all under one roof.

Expect to see more than 2,000 classic motors, 700 motorbikes, 250 bike and car clubs, 600 must-see trade stands and one of the largest indoor auto-jumbles around.

We wouldn’t want you to miss out on anything so here’s our list of Top 10 Things to do at the Classic Motor Show:

1. Meet presenter of Harrys Garage and founder of Evo magazine Harry Metcalfe

Catch Harry on the Footman James Stand 1-240 and ask all your classic related questions on Friday 11th and Sunday 13th between 11am – 12pm and 3pm – 4pm, and Saturday 12th between 3pm – 4pm.

2. Discover which car was voted Britain’s Favourite Classic

 ‘Britain’s Favourite Classic’ sponsored by Footman James was revealed in the December Practical Classic magazine and will be featured on the Practical Classics stand.

3. Pride of Ownership

A number of private owners have been invited with recently restored classics, award winning concours cars, rare finds, and some one of a kind classics. Visit the Pride of Ownership feature stand to see these beauties.

4. Win a year’s free classic car insurance

Go and visit the Classic Car Weekly stand in Hall 3, stand 3-555. Sign up for CCW emails and have a go on Spin To Win. You could win a ‘Star Prize’ including a year’s free classic car insurance provided by Footman James – up to the value of £250.

5. Winner of ‘Car of the Year 2016’ announced by Classic American magazine

Classic American mag will be announcing the winner of their Car of the Year 2016, sponsored by Footman James.

6. Pay homage to a HERO

Footman James will be displaying a LaFerrari to celebrate the iconic brand and founder Enzo Ferrari. Also on the FJ stand display will be the iconic 1973 Tyrrell 006/2 F1 car famously driven by Sir Jackie Stewart.

Silverstone Auctions is back and is due to hold a two-day sale on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November, with a range of classic cars, vintage cars, veteran road cars, racing cars and automobila.

8. Get a signed copy of ‘Tank Action’ by David Render

David Render will be on the FJ stand Saturday between 12 – 1pm, where visitors will have the opportunity to meet this remarkable and true hero. David will also be selling and signing copies of his book ‘Tank Action’.

9. Two Live Stages

Enjoy a live stage presentation of the full daily programme of motoring entertainment hosted by Discovery Channel's 'Wheeler Dealers' Mike Brewer and Edd China. Visit the live stages to hear from special guests, meet the experts, take part in Edd’s Practical Challenge, the restoration theatre, game shows, giveaways and much more.

10. UK’s largest indoor autojumble

Known as the UK’s largest indoor autojumble, this autojumble will boast over 650 traders from the largest classic brands, industry specialists and hundreds of smaller companies, traders and autojumblers.
