On January 12-15, Autosport International takes place at The NEC in Birmingham – with 2 days dedicated to motor loving members of the public, and 2 to budding members of the motorsport sector.

It’s one of the first events in the 2017 motoring calendar, and boasts incredible live action events, special guests and a whole host of exhibitors to visit in over 1 million ft2 of space – Europe’s largest pre-season motorsport event.

Here’s a quick rundown of the highlights of the 2 public days (January 14-15):

The Live Action Arena – The UK’s largest indoor racetrack will feature record breaking stunts, unforgettable races and incredible cars. This year’s event will feature the Aston Martin WEC Championship winning car, the Autograss Class 7 Race, the Tesla GT and more.

• A celebration of classic racing – From a world-first display of the final 7 remaining Lotus 49s, to displays celebrating 50 years of both Formula Ford and Rallycross, this is the event for classic racing fans.

• The Autosport Stage – Hosted by Sky Sport F1’s David ‘Crofty’ Croft, the Autosport Stage will feature interviews with stars from across the world of motoring like Gordon Shedden, Matt Neal, Andrew Jordan, Colin Turkington and Allan McNish.

• Experience adrenaline – Featuring a full karting track and Ginetta Thrill Rides, the Adrenaline Zone is the place for adrenaline junkies to visit. The Experience Zone lets motor fans try the latest simulators to get a realistic taste of racing.

The 2 trade days (January 12-13) will feature Autosport Engineering (Europe’s biggest motorsport technology trade show), information for motoring fans looking to move into a career in motorsport and MIA workshops and events.
