Date: 08 September, 2017
Location: The Malvern Showground, WR13 6NW
From humble beginnings in 1994, 23 years later BusFest has grown to become the world’s largest international bus festival event.
With 3 full days of large crowds (25 000) coming in, over 8000 vehicles and over 300 trade stands, its clear why BusFest is known as the largest bus festival. This means BusFest provides everything and anything enthusiasts could possibly want or need.
This year is particularly special as it marks 70 years since Ben Pon put pen to paper and came up with the sketch that spiralled production of the first generation of VW Transporters. Also being celebrated is the 50th anniversary of the production of the first Bay Window Vans.
No other Volkswagen (VW) transporter van display is bigger than the one coming to the Malvern Showground. Enthusiasts can look forward to the picturesque venue, classic campers, entertainment, trade stands, a beautiful display plus more.
Those feeling lucky can enter the Show and Shine Competition for a chance to win prizes given at the BusFest closing ceremony in the Severn Hall. Entry to the competition is free, however, it is limited to only 150 vehicles. The competition will be held on the last day of the show; Sunday 10th. There are 14 show and shine classes with all vehicles entered for ‘Best Interior’, ‘Best Accessory’, ‘Best in Show’ and Mystery Judges Choice’.
The action doesn’t stop there! There is plenty of evening entertainment including the very special German themed ‘BustoberFest’ with the fabulous Jonge Remstäler a genuine German Brass Band.
