Nestled on the border between Staffordshire and Derbyshire stands a seemingly sleepy Georgian country house.
But for one day in May, Catton Hall’s grounds come alive with the spectacular sights and sounds of a popular classic car display.
Catton Hall Classic Motor Show and Family Fun Day takes place on Sunday May 1.
It’s an event that is eagerly anticipated both among car lovers from the two counties and further beyond.
Military models and bank holiday bargains
You’ll be treated to a cornucopia of colourful cars from a bygone age in an idyllic setting.
As many as 700 motors from across the classics kaleidoscope will be on show.
Lovers of military vehicles are in for a treat, although further details of this part of the event are yet to be released.
So are connoisseurs of motors from before the war, adapted vehicles, motorbikes from yesteryear and US gems.
An abundance of autojumble and trade stands will hopefully help those of you looking for a bargain for the bank holiday to get what you want.

• Enjoying the concours: The awards ceremony is staged at 4pm at the Hall arena, with a raft of great golden oldies battling it out to be top dog. Competition is expected to be fierce and the judges will have their work cut out to find a champion
• Listening to classic tuneage: Event organisers will be playing a fittingly classic soundtrack throughout the whole event
• Getting the children involved: They can have their face painted for free and win classic goodie bags free of charge if they bring along their “bestist” teddy bear. They also have the opportunity to win the Hall’s Bruno Bear mascot
• Soaking up the scenery: With its 250 acres of parkland positioned along the River Trent’s banks, there are few more beautiful country house settings in the north Midlands

Tickets are £8 for adults, £4 for children aged between 4 and 16 and £24 for family tickets. Parking is free and the fun lasts from 10am-4pm.
