The Footman James Great Western Autojumble

Date: 13 February, 2016

Location: Royal Bath & West Showground in Shepton Mallet, Somerset

Whether you have a few pennies to spare or your plastic has only just recovered from Christmas, here’s the perfect chance to give your wallet a workout.

That’s because the Footman James Great Western Autojumble is back in town. Last year’s event pulled in more than 7,000 motor enthusiasts. And many of them are expected to flock back to the West Country venue again this year.

They will come in search of classic cars, specialist tools, memorabilia, parts for that classic restoration or simply to chat with fellow connoisseurs.

It’s one of the first events of the new season, with something for almost every model, make or era.

Our top picks

Classic Car Park
This area is abuzz with thousands of must-see privately owned retro rides. Hundreds of the best classics from miles around will be in attendance - and you and your car can join them. Motors need to be more than 25 years old and in good condition, as well as being interesting or rare. If you decide to display your wheels, you’ll also get a discount entrance fee - down from £9 to £6.

The Charterhouse Auction
One of the beauties of this auction is that you can look forward to a wide variety of vehicles to suit all budgets and tastes. Exmoor Hall is staging the event between 10am and midday on Sunday. But the lots can be viewed the day before from 10am to 5pm, so you can weigh up which vehicles to bid for.
