Footman James Gets Up Close And Personal With Club Partners

Six new members of staff from Footman James recently visited the Triumph Sports Six Club headquarters as part of a brand new induction programme

The event, which forms part of the insurance broker’s new induction programme, was designed to equip new staff with an in-depth knowledge of the classic vehicle market and the company’s key Club partners.

The team from Footman James, many of whom are classic owners themselves, were taken on a tour of the museum by Nigel Clark, who then demonstrated how an agreed valuation is undertaken.  Club history, as well as providing the opportunity to get close to some of the cars themselves.

The event, which forms part of the insurance broker’s new induction programme, was designed to equip new staff with an in-depth knowledge of the classic vehicle market and the company’s key Club partners.

The new induction training programme was developed following a recent recruitment drive to support the increase in calls during the company’s peak sales period during the spring and summer months.  On appointment, all new recruits go through an intensive specialist vehicle training plan, where members of staff focus on developing an in-depth knowledge of the classic car and bike product.  This intensive training includes the club/partner visits to provide a real understanding of what’s important to the classic enthusiast.

Mr Fairchild added: “As we progress through the core season for classics enthusiasts it is essential that we have the optimum number of staff in place to ensure we are in the best position to service our customers quickly and efficiently at all times.  We have listened to feedback from club members and the new appointments further strengthen our commitment to the classic movement, in particular the clubs, which are the lifeblood of the industry.”
