Sandbach Transport Festival

Date: 16 April, 2016

Location: The Commons Car Park, Congleton Road, Sandbach, Cheshire

After a successful 'Transport through the Ages parade' in April 1992, the Festival of Transport has now become a well-established annual attraction.

The 2016 Festival is set to be a great event with 25 years of celebrating already under its belt. Now in its 26th year, we are anticipating to see an impressive line-up of all types of transport ranging from veteran, vintage, classic - both heavy and light - right up to the very latest cars and heavy goods vehicles.

Because of its popularity, the festival draws in a big crowd from home and abroad with a high number of entries for the parade. The festival is staged each April and includes many other attractions and entertainments including live music.

Saturday and Sunday activities
During both days there will be a range of fun activities taking place in Sandbach Park. The live bands will be performing on stage both on Saturday and Sunday on The Square. On the Sunday the main display of vehicles will be static on the Commons to give more time to look at the vehicles and talk to the owners.

The traditional Hog Roast will also be on Sunday by the Sandbach Round Table adjacent to the Crosses.

Birds of Prey demonstration, bouncy castle and the fairground will thrill the children throughout the weekend.

The young visitors are not forgotten. There will be children’s entertainment in the park for free, including a Birds of Prey demonstration, the Thomas train ride, remote control cars, zorb balls, a bouncy castle and fairground rides on the Small Common.
