The Classic Ford Show is heading to the Santa Pod Raceway on Sunday 4th June 2017. And as always, the day will be full to the brim with fantastic Ford action
So, Ford fans, take a deep breath and relax, because we’ve got a lot to get through:
The Burnout Challenge
New for 2017, see the smoke of the Burnout Challenge at the Santa Pod drag strip. Open to everyone, whoever gets the loudest cheer from the crowd will be crowned the Burnout Challenge winner.
The Burnout Challenge won’t be the only event heating up the track. As ever, Fireforce, the jet powered car, will be blasting down the strip. With around 10,000bhp, Fireforce isn’t something to miss.
Run What Ya Brung!
How fast can you travel a quarter mile? ‘Run What Ya Brung!’ is the best way to find out. For £20, you get four attempts to hit a personal best. Every time you complete the quarter-mile stretch, you’ll get a unique performance print out.
Alongside this is the Classic Ford Face Off Competition, where drivers will race the quarter-mile strip in classic Ford dragsters, with the top two drivers facing off against each other to be named 2017’s champion.
Show & Shine
Some of the finest Ford’s around the country will descend to the Classic Ford Show & Shine. Anyone can enter in advance, as long as your Ford is from pre-2002. But you don’t have to enter to enjoy the show; head down and just take a look at some incredible cars up close.
Displays & trade
Hundreds of classic Ford car clubs will be putting on displays throughout the event, alongside special individual displays (where anyone can show off their car in the Non-Club Paddock Area).
If you can get away from the track, the displays and the clubs, the Retail Village is the place to go for anyone part-hunting.
Tickets and further information
Advance tickets are £18 for adults, with each ticket including free entry for two children (£5 for any extra children). You can extend your stay with a weekend camping ticket, £25 for adults and £10 for children. And if you want to display your car, it’s £2 (on top of your regular ticket).
