1940s Relived 2018

Date: 12th May 2018
Location: Brooklands Museum

On the 12th May 2018 the clocks will be turned back to the 40’s at the Brooklands Museum, where you can expect to see individuals wearing their best period outfits and pre-1950s vehicles swarming the site via Campbell Entrance.

What to Expect

NOSTALGIA
If your interest is vintage gear and memorabilia you will be able to stock up on an array of items provided by the best vintage sellers at the expansive Vintage Market, from clothing to books to homewares, there is something for every collector and enthusiast of the 40’s alike.
You will also have access to the usual Museum exhibits, though the site will be full of period vehicle and bus displays, as well as re-enactments of both civilian and military life. But don’t worry, you don’t have to wear vintage clothing to participate in the day! Though you may find yourself something special to don in the Trade Village.

OTHER ACTIVITIES
If browsing stalls gets a bit much, there is also the Dance Marquee (back by popular demand), which resides behind the Motoring Sheds. In the Dance Marquee you will be able to have access to light refreshments, listen to some live music or even learn some new dance moves by taking part in dance lessons. For the more established dancer, you can put your Jitterbug and Jive to the test! There will also be the Brooklands Style Scouts on the search for the best-dressed individual at 1940’s Relived – with the Grand Final being held at the Dance Marquee, where the audience are encouraged to cheer for the best dressed.
