Brighton Breeze 2018

Location: Madeira Drive, Brighton.

Who would not want to spend a day by the sea-side? Even better, who would not want to spend a day by the sea-side with classic VWs!

Footman James are pleased to sponsor The Split Screen Van Club’s Brighton Breeze ‘Fun-Run’ on Saturday 6^th October 2018, where participants will drive from Hook Road to Madeira Drive in Brighton.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Club Displays

New for 2018, club displays will be voted for by the public! An award for Best Club Display will be awarded and the winner will receive the Best Club Display trophy.

If your club wants to get involved, you will need to book your space in advance and let the organisers know your theme. Email bborganiser@ssvc.org.uk to enquire.

There is no additional charge for club members and each vehicle will need to have the appropriate ticket bought in advance. Each club will need to bring their own marshal who will be responsible for their club, parking and behaviour on the day.

Show & Shine

As well as an award for Best Club Display, there will also be a competition for a VW show & shine. So, make sure that you have given your VW that extra bit of spit and polish before attending for your chance to win.

CAMPING

Those partaking in the fun-run can camp the night before at Hook Road Arena (Chessington Rd, Hook Rd, Epsom KT19 8QG) before hitting the road at 8am the next day. Hook Road, Epsom camping opens from 2pm – midnight.

After the run, camping is then available at Brighton Racecourse (Freshfield Rd, Brighton BN2 9XZ), with fun and entertainment until early morning. Brighton Racecourse camping gates open 6pm - midnight.

 THINGS TO NOTE

Some enthusiasts choose to leave their vehicle on the seafront, but please note that the road will revert to a public car park after 6pm, so you will need to ensure that you have allocated yourself enough time with a parking ticket.
