The Footman James Great Western Classic Car Show 2017

Date: 11 February, 2017

Location: Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 6QN

The Great Western Classic Car Show, sponsored by Footman James, takes place across the weekend of February 11-12, and looks set to be the biggest and best ever.

The event brings together thousands of classic vehicle enthusiasts into the stunning surroundings of Somerset’s Royal Bath & West Showground.

What to expect
In 2017, the event is expanding greatly compared to previous South West classic car events, with more traders, car clubs and a lot more cars and car parts.

Classic car fans attending in February will be treated to:

• An additional heated marquee alongside the main venue, housing car clubs and the largest outdoor autojumble in the region

• Classic cars of all kinds (from clubs and enthusiasts) will be on display, both inside and out in the much-loved classic car park

• A final-day sale of vintage vehicles at the Charterhouse auction - So far on the list is the Wallace and Gromit car, the Lotus Super 7 and a Vintage 1925 Renault which is pretty rare!

• Private display cars including a 1980 Rolls Royce Carmargue,  1970 RS2600 Capri believed to be the original LHD prototype and more

Restoration, restoration, restoration…
This event is perfect for any classic car fan – especially those who have a passion for restoration.

Whether you’ve just started restoring a classic, or need the final few parts to finish off a project, the Footman James Great Western Classic Car Show will probably have what you need (and at a bargain price).

Or, if you’re looking for a new project instead, there’ll be hundreds of cars available to buy across the weekend. So whatever your restoration goals, and whatever your budget, this is the place to be.

The best show yet
2016 was a fantastic year for Bristol Classic Car Show Events, including the Great Western Classic Car Show, and 2017 looks set to be even better for all of the events.

Andy Kitchen, the head of the event, says this revamped staging is going to be the biggest and best yet “thanks to even more trade stands and displays from clubs and private entries”.
