Footman James Sywell Pistons and Props 2017

On Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September 2017, The Footman James Sywell Classic Pistons and Props will be returning to the Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire. The event will combine hot rods, bikes, historic racers alongside an array of air displays and vintage performances from musical acts.

Racing Runway
On the Racing Runway will be Formula 1, Formula 2 and Group B racing across the tarmac, also joined by a selection of both classic and modern bikes.

The popular Street Car Shootout will be returning this year, bigger and better than before, with 40 of the most incredible Street Rods and Dragsters on display.

Air Displays
There will be aerial performances from the Yakovlevs – ‘world leaders in precision formation and graceful aerobatics’ as well as the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The Breitling Wingwalkers, who are the world’s only aerobatic formation wingwalkers, will be taking to the skies for what is bound to be an impressive performance.

Live Music
In the Footman James Scarf and Goggles Bar there will be a tribute to Dusty Springfield from ‘Dusty and Friends’, an appearance from Jayne Darling the vintage singer and the Rock-ola Rockets, a rockabilly group. One Eyed Cats will also be playing for those planning an overnight stay in Hangar One.

Classic Clubs
There will be a mix of classic car and bike clubs at Sywell for the event. It will be a great opportunity to speak to other enthusiasts, publicise your club as well as being in the running to win an award for the ‘best presented’ club stand throughout the weekend.

Tickets and further information
You can purchase advanced day tickets online which cost £18 for an adult. Child tickets (5-15 years) are £7. If you chose to buy your ticket on the day, it will cost £22 for an adult and £10 for a child ticket.

There are also weekend and camping ticket options available. The show opens at 10.00am on all both days of the show and car parking is free.
