WHAT TO EXPECT

The International Classic Motorcycle Show will be hosting their 40th annual event this April. The event falls just a week before the 75th anniversary of VE Day, which the British Mini Club hope to honour with a 1940s themed weekend at the Stafford Country Showground.

The show is expected to fill several hundred trade stands and autojumble plots with a brand-new hall layout for the 2020 show, which will be decorated with an authentic 1940s theme. Attendees also be able to browse a wide array of club stands, take part in auctions, explore the classic motorcycle cavalcade and get the chance to take part in a classic dirt bike experience.

SPECIAL GUESTS

Former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer and saloon car racing specialist Stuart Graham will be attending as the show’s guest of honour for the weekend and will be interviewed by resident compere Steve Plater throughout the weekend.

A tribute will also be held for Colin Seeley, following his unfortunate passing earlier this year. Guest speakers will be invited to host tribute talks on his life and achievements. The show floor will also be displaying four Seeley machines that will be available to view throughout the weekend.

FEATURED BIKES

Some incredible bikes will be given the VIP treatment they deserve, with four especially noteworthy bikes available at the show all weekend. They include:

  • A mint-condition BSA Spitfire that was featured in March’s issue of The Classic MotorCycle magazine
  • A Triumph 3HW that’s travelled from the award-winning Eden Camp in North Yorkshire
  • A Matchless G3L that dates back to 1941 and has been displayed at the museum for well over 25 years.
  • A genuine Triumph Hurricane that’s been reconstructed using extremely rare parts
