Come along to one of the biggest and best classic car shows around, at the NEC Classic Motor Show! If you have a passion for classic cars, are a car collector, or are looking for a classic car club that’s right for you, then the NEC is the place to be.

CARS CARS CARS!

From classic cars, to vintage cars, modern classics to modern supercars, there will be an eclectic mix of vehicles at this year’s show. The NEC Motor Show expects to see an astonishing 3,000 cars brought to the event, creating a huge community for motoring enthusiasts.

CLASSIC VEHICLE CLUBS

The NEC Classic Motor Show is a haven for classic vehicle clubs, with over 300 classic vehicle clubs being part of the event.

At Footman James we cherish our relationship with over 200 clubs and partners and believe that being a member of one of our affiliated club partners should entitle you to specialist rates on your insurance.

From the Mercedes-Benz Club to British Mini Club and more, you can save on your insurance by becoming a member.

CLASSIC CARS FOR SALE

Indulge yourself in the fantastic mix of classic cars up for sale in the events very own Dealer Hall. If you fancy taking home a British, American or European car, why not head down to Hall 3 for the ultimate classic car showroom?

Whether you are looking for a classic car worth £10,000, or a car worth more than £100,000, the classic car sale will certainly have vehicles for all types of wallet sizes.

DISCOVERY LIVE STAGE

At the heart of the show is the Discovery Live stage which hosts a jam-packed timetable full on celebrity Q&As, restoration projects and informative talks from exhibitors.

Last year, British racing driver and former Top Gear presenter Vicki Butler - Henderson and radio and TV personality, Alex Riley, hit the Live Stage to talk about their brand-new classic car TV show ‘The Car Years’, sponsored by Footman James.

Other highlights include the Practical Classics Challenge where over the year’s audiences have seen some brilliant restorations taking place over just three days, including Mr Bean’s Mini, which was restored in 2017.

As expected, many spares are used over the restoration period, but luckily, Footman James partners, David Manners Group, have been on hand to help. From smaller 10-inch wheels, to trims and dash conversions, David Manners Group is a perfect one stop shop for the Practical Classics Team.

CELEBRITY SPOT CHECK

As the NEC Classic Motor Show is the largest event of its kind in the UK, it is not a surprise that the show attracts plenty of well-known faces in the industry. In past years, the guest list has included the likes of Sir Stirling Moss, Steve Coogan, Guy Martin, Edd China, Quentin Willson, Fuzz Townshend, Jools Holland, James May and many more famous faces.

Keep an eye out for classic car celebrities over the course of the weekend, and who knows, you may even get a cheeky pic!

MEGUIARS CLUB SHOWCASE

For a number of years, the Meguiars Club Showcase is a display not to be missed as the car cleaning providers certainly dazzle with their exhibition which celebrates the best of what the UK classic car scene has to offer.

The cars on show are award-winning vehicles that have triumphed at club organised events across the year. Last year we saw a stunning 1964 Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle take the crown; in 2017, the winner was a 1959 Morris Mini and in 2016 it was a gorgeous 1966 Mini Traveller that prevailed. Make sure you keep an eye and an ear out for the winner of the Meguiar’s Club Showcase 2019 on Sunday 10th November.

SPORTING BEAR’S DREAM RIDES

A firm favourite with classic car enthusiasts, Sporting Bear’s Dream Rides is back.

Dream Rides give visitors the chance to experience some of the most spectacular cards in the world, all for a small donation as little as £10, which all goes to charity!

Since Sporting Bear’s Dream Rides began the fundraisers have raised more than £2.3 million, all thanks to generous donations. So, dip your hands in your pockets and support this valuable cause.
