Date: 02 April, 2016
Location: Sandown Park, Esher, KT10 9AJ
Volkswagen (VW) fans should check out the runners and riders at Sandown Park during the first weekend in April.
That’s because the racecourse in Esher, Surrey, will be home to VolksWorld.
With attendance numbers likely to reach well into five figures, it’s the ideal place to buy or sell your VW or just enjoy some automotive eye candy.
Who knows? You might even find the right part for your VW restoration project. The show takes place on April 2-3 with a 10am start both days, closing 5pm on Saturday and 4.30pm Sunday.
Sales, shine and swaps
There’s surely no better chance to sell your motor than at the VolksWorld VW sale? And the great thing is that you don’t even need to register beforehand. Early arrival is recommended to secure the best spot. It’s also ideal for buyers looking to snap up a classic VW bargain - perhaps an original purring Bug?
If you’re proud of keeping your VW in top condition, head to Meguiar’s show-‘n’-shine contest. Trophies will be going to the best-looking motors not parked up inside the main hall itself.
VolksWorld’s international swap meet is also recommended for those of you searching for something rare or used. It’s staged on the venue’s first floor.
Don’t leave without…
• Hitting the dancefloor: Live music is staged from 10am to 4pm to get you in the party mood. Line-ups are still to be confirmed.
• Buying something VW: Whether it’s VW clothing you want or some super-special spare parts, the 100-plus trade stands are the place for you.
• Going clubbing: VW clubs will be exhibiting hundreds of air-cooled classics.
• Giving your children a taster: If you have kids, why not pass on your love of all things VW? They can enjoy slot car racing, VW-themed arts and crafts, films, a soft play section and children’s entertainer
