January 10-13, 2019

Autosport International 2019

Date: January 10-13, 2019

Time: 9.00 – 18.00pm

Location: NEC, Birmingham

Autosport International returns to the NEC, Birmingham in early January 2019. The Performance and Tuning Car Show will take place alongside Autosport International, so those visiting will also have access to Autosport halls.

Please note, days 10-11 are TRADE ONLY. These are the days reserved exclusively for those that are involved in the motorsport and automotive industries or those studying a related course.

At the heart of the Autosport International event is the Autosport Stage. Motorsport personalities and stars of the scene will be interviewed over four days, answering questions from the crowd as well as discussing their insights for the year to come.

The Live Action Arena is always a firm favourite at Autosport International and demonstrates the power of performance and racing cars. This year will be a celebration of the “Evolution of Racing” and will feature competition drivers performing a variety of stunts, racing and driving demonstrations to entertain the crowds. There will also be interviews and appearances from famous faces.

The Live Action Arena will showcase the Brabham name, with the display of the 5.4-litre V8 Brabham BT61 race car and pay homage to MINI’s 60th birthday celebrations.

The arena will be hosted by Sky F1 commentator David Croft, as well as vloggers Shmee150 and Miss Emma Walsh. Your ticket to Autosport International includes access to this hour long show and it really is a must-see for those attending.

Classic car auction action returns to Autosport International in the form of Silverstone Auctions. Silverstone Auctions aim to bring a ‘premium auction experience’ with a one-day sale of competition cars and ‘best of breed’ classics.

The auction will take place on January 12.

The Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC) will be commemorating 50 years of Formula 5000 at Autosport International. The series arrived in the UK in 1969 at Oulton Park and was subsequently won by Peter Gethin in a McLaren M10.

Six cars will be displayed by the HSCC, including the 1970 McLaren M10 raced by Peter Gethin, as well as an ex-Mike Hailwood 1971 Surtees TS8. There will also be a number of historic drivers attending the show, so guests will be treated to not only getting up close and personal with the historic vehicles but also an insight into the work done by the HSCC.
