Date: 16 September, 2017
Location: Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, England
A steep hill climb event located just outside of Princes Risborough, in the heart of Buckinghamshire. Kop Hill Climb has been a speed hill climb since 1910 - this year they are planning to celebrate and display an array of exotic cars, including post-war Ferraris and Lamborghinis for spectators to enjoy.
Soapbox Challenge
The Soapbox Challenge is a racing competition open to drivers ages 10-17 with an entry fee of £25 per team. Teams of racers will compete to have travelled the furthest distance through chicanes, obstacles and even a purpose built ramp to claim the Beaumont Cup.
Prizes will be awarded for:
The Paddock
Over the weekend over 800 vintage, veteran, classic, historic and sporting vehicles will enter the paddock. The Paddock will also hold the sponsors and exhibitor displays with a special clubs and classics area with static displays, or you can stroll around the ‘cherished vehicles’ parking area at the edge of the hill climb.
Wall of Death
A must-see for both the old and young alike! A traditional carnival sideshow in the form of a barrel-shaped wooden cylinder in which motorcyclists travel along the vertical walls performing stunts. Prepare to be amazed.
Food & Children’s Zone
The Food Zone will be filled with a mix of cuisines from Cornish pasties to South African Bunny Chow. After you’ve had your fill, there is also the Children’s Zone which will house a number of historic funfair rides from a 1930s Dodgems to a traditional Carousel.
