Dates: August 19th-20th, 2020
Time: 10:00 – 20:00
Location: The Honourable Artillery Company, Armoury House, City Road, London EC1Y 2BQ
Thanks for loosening restrictions the 2020 London Concours has received formal approval to run this August, making it the UK’s very first major automotive event to take place since COVID-19 restrictions came into effect earlier in the year. Visitors can expect to see a few changes at the show, including increased space and revised plans for hospitality and capacity.
As with previous years, the event will continue to be held right in the heart of London in the pristine gardens of the Honourable Artillery Company. The show will celebrate over eighty of the world’s most coveted and luxurious cars in an extravagant automotive garden party.
We’re proud to sponsor the Lost Marques class this year; a celebration of vehicles that had a meteoric rise in the industry but sadly became consigned to the history books many years later. In this display you’re likely to find widely recognised vehicles such as the DeLorean, Amphicar, De Tomaso, Rover, Jensen, Frazer-Nash and much more.
Some of the most iconic and well renowned marques will be celebrated with their own exclusive collections on display on both days of the event. In these collections you’ll be able to find some of the most respected Lamborghini and Bugatti models, including arguably the most successful racing car of all time; the Type 35 and modern variants such as the Chiron and Veyron. There’s also an entire collection for Aston Martin, which highlights the struggles the company have endured to produce some of the most respected cars on the market, including the DB5 and Vulcan.
Best in Show
The winner of last year’s ‘Best in Show’ award, a fabulous green Jaguar C-Type, will be returning to the display stands. Guests will have the chance to get up close and personal with the car that was driven by legends such as Tommy Wisdom and Stirling Moss and that once attended the Monaco Grand Prix. Presented on a large rotating stage in its original 1950’s Mille Miglia livery, this is a feature you won’t want to miss.
There are also a large range of other features likely to catch your eye this year, including a look at the golden age of convertibles (good news for Ford Mustang and E-Type fans), a delve into the innovation of Lancia in the ‘Lancia Legends’ display and a special feature titled ‘The Speed of Sand’ that aims to celebrate the art of tinkering and making cars unique.
The London Concours will be presenting a wide array of specialist distributors, manufacturers and dealers, including luxury brands in the fashion, art, jewellery and watchmaking fields. The organisers are hoping to offer visitors a chance to explore some of the most exclusive and first-class goods & craftsmanship available on the UK market.
This year the renowned Searcys will be handling catering, bringing with them their knowledge and experience as one of Britain’s oldest event catering companies. You can expect a specially selected menu of uniquely British seasonal foods to be available to delight your taste buds and a very special reception for VIP guests that includes a glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne on arrival.
