Classic car insurance specialist Footman James has been announced as the official insurance partner for the Concours of Elegance event held at Hampton Court Palace from 6-8th September 2019.
As the named insurance partner, Footman James will unite 8 significant and iconic cars in a curated stand-alone paddock, which will see the cars alternate each day of the Concours of Elegance. The specialist insurer will have hand-picked rare cars to parallel an array of cars that Footman James insures through its Private Clients policies. The Private Clients offering from Footman James is a bespoke package truly tailored to each individual’s needs.
Managing Director of Footman James, David Bond commented: “The Concours of Elegance is one of the most prestigious global collector car events, and our strategic partnership represents a new era for both organisations. It’s a great time to align with such a well-known and respected concours, it’s going to be an amazing event and one we’re delighted to be partnered with as a business.”
Andrew Evans, Concours of Elegance Managing Director, said: "The Concours of Elegance is a gathering of not only the finest cars in the world, but some of the finest brands and businesses in the world, too. Each of our partners is hand-picked because they deliver a service or a product of a quality that's perfectly in-tune with the world-class experience we're looking to deliver. Footman James is one of those partners; its enviable reputation for excellent customer service and a number of flexible options for valuable cars and car collections makes it our perfect Official Insurance Partner."
The full line-up for the Concours of Elegance hasn’t been publicly announced yet, but the organisers have promised a prime selection of 60 cars secured from all around the world – with a number of them never seen before in the UK. There will also be the world’s first celebration featuring both Aston Martin and Zagato. This display will showcase unique and scarce examples, including one of the most renowned Aston Martins in history, the DB4 GT Zagato ‘1 VEV’. Other models that will be joining the DB4 GT will be the DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial, V12 Vanquish Roadster Zagato and Virage Shooting Brake Zagato Centennial.
