Footman James become founding member of the HCVA

Footman James have pledged their allegiance to ensuring the sustainability of the classic industry for the long haul, by becoming a founding member of The Historic & Classic Vehicles Alliance (HCVA).

The HCVA aim to create a strong voice for everyone who has an interest in protecting the future of classic and historic vehicles. The main pillars of their campaign include protecting the history of vehicles, preserving jobs and skills, and helping to create a sustainable industry by reusing, repairing, and setting a new standard for restoration and maintenance of classics.

This is now more important than ever. In a time where the motoring industry is facing a lot of changes, with the introduction of E10 fuel and discussions of classic conversions and electric cars at the forefront of the automotive industry.

Footman James are thrilled to be joining forces with the HCVA, standing side by side as a founding member to support the HCVA on their mission. FJ have always been a key pillar in the classic community, not only with their extensive product offering, but also with the work they do in the community to ensure that the industry continues to thrive.

David Bond, Managing Director at FJ commented, “The key pillars of the HCVA campaign are entirely aligned with our own business values and we believe these are the proactive conversations we need to start having within the industry. This is a partnership we are very excited about here at FJ and we can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store.”

Garry Wilson, CEO of the HCVA commented, “We are pleased to welcome FJ to the HCVA. The FJ support alongside our other Founding Partners provides significant weight to the HCVA campaign. It would be excellent if FJ clients joined the HCVA as members. We have a breadth of packages available that cover the trade and individuals. This would provide much needed funds to ensure we are able to drive our campaign forward to “Protect the Future of our Past” for us all. We look forward to working with FJ on a range of opportunities and events over the coming years!”

The HCVA also encourage enthusiasts and classic business owners, who are equally as passionate about preserving historic vehicles as they are, to become members. See more information about how you can help support the cause at their website: https://www.hcva.co.uk/106/support-our-mission
