British Motor Museum Win RAC Award

Footman James are delighted to congratulate the British Motor Museum on winning Collection of the Year honours at the Royal Automobile Club’s Historic Awards for 2020.

The Footman James supported award was presented to the museum for having risen above the challenges thrown up by Coronavirus to put in place an innovative and engaging programme for virtual visitors. The trophy was collected by the museum’s Managing Director, Jeff Coope during a high-profile online awards ceremony on Thursday 28th January.

In accepting the award, Jeff Coope paid tribute to his staff, “Not only for their hard work and enthusiasm but also for thinking laterally.” During his speech he also cited Footman James, “for providing the insurance services that we all need to drive our passion.”

FJ are proud to support the RAC Historic Awards as part of its commitment to the industry it serves. Last year Footman James sponsored the Motoring Spectacle Award but the Collection of the Year Award is particularly relevant to their work, as vehicle collections are an important and growing part of their business.

Footman James has a number of options for those whose passion is collecting vehicles and is able to cover collections of all shapes and sizes. This ranges from their Flex offering for those who might have a household fleet of five vehicles or under, whether they be classic or modern, through multi-vehicle cover on collections of five or more vehicles, to large collections valued at £150,000 or more, which is available through their Private Clients insurance offering.

Club collections and bespoke Museum insurance packages also form part of their work, so the options are in place to suit the needs of an individual or organisation, no matter the size of the fleet involved.

“Congratulations from all at Footman James to the British Motor Museum on this excellent achievement,” commented FJ Managing Director David Bond. "As Jeff Coope rightly said, it is all about passion and this is something that we very much share with those whose vehicles we cover. We aim to have an option suitable for just about everyone, whether their pride and joy is one vehicle  - or several hundred.”
