Bicester classic car hub plans landmark hotel

Bicester Heritage aims to become the world’s leading centre for historic automotive excellence. Now there are exciting plans afoot for a unique 344-room hotel…

Over the last five years, Bicester Heritage has been building a worldwide reputation as a centre of excellence in the historic vehicles sector.

In fact, the site, on the grounds of former RAF Bicester, is the UK’s only hub for historic motoring excellence. Home to some 35 classic car and vintage car businesses, it’s already become the biggest player in the industry – and looks set to grow exponentially in the years ahead.

Bicester Heritage Hotel

Stylish new hotel

Now Bicester Heritage has submitted plans for the next exciting stage in its development – a stylish 344-room hotel designed by leading British designer and car enthusiast Dexter Moren.

The landmark hotel has been conceived with one overriding aim in mind: to provide an immersive experience for car enthusiasts.

So as well as facilities such as an upscale restaurant, a gym, sauna and swimming pool, a stunning four-storey atrium will showcase rotating auto-themed displays and exhibitions in the heart of the building.

And the Bicester Heritage hotel will be located right next to a raised earth bank and Mille Miglia-style start line, offering guests an unrivalled view of rallies from their luxurious rooms.

Total immersion

Above all, the new landmark hotel will give guests the chance to immerse themselves in everything the Bicester site has to offer, such as the circuit, airfield, skills and events.

And its location in the very heart of Motorsport Valley puts guests within easy reach of Silverstone Circuit, a number of Formula One teams and several electric and autonomous technology firms.

World’s leading automotive resort

The proposed hotel is all part of an ambitious strategy to create the world’s leading automotive resort at Bicester Heritage.

Other plans for the site include gallery motor lodges for example, where enthusiasts will be able to house their cars directly under luxury accommodation.

Dan Geoghegan, Managing Director of Bicester Heritage, can’t wait to greet the first hotel guests.

He said: “We very much look forward to welcoming enthusiasts to our motoring hotel, from which they will be able to experience a range of automotive destinations on a single site, from the existing centre of excellence for historic motorcars to private track, exhibition hangars, OEM brand centre and future technology.”
