Driving in the EU after Brexit: How will my Footman James policy be affected?

As the UK prepares to leave the EU, at Footman James we are doing our best to prepare for every eventuality. No matter what the outcome, we are working hard to ensure minimal disruption to our customers from 29th March 2019 – the date the UK leaves the European Union.

From 29 March 2019, in the event that the UK leaves the EU with no deal in place, UK drivers taking their vehicles to the EU, EEA, Switzerland, Andorra or Serbia may need a motor insurance Green Card.

If you are planning on driving your vehicle in the EU, EEA, Switzerland, Andorra or Serbia from 29th March 2019 (or you are travelling prior to this date and will not be returning to the UK before 29th March 2019), please inform us by filling out the form below or by calling us on 0333 207 6120.

In the instance that you will need a Green Card, one will be issued to you to ensure continued coverage for your vehicle from 29th March 2019.

We will continue to closely monitor developments over the coming weeks and will communicate any implications as necessary, and as soon as possible.
