Driving in the EU after Brexit: How will my Footman James policy be affected?

As the UK prepares to leave the EU, at Footman James we are doing our best to ensure minimal disruption to our customers.

While the UK formally left the EU on 31 January this year, the Government has agreed to a transition period which will last until 31st December 2020. During this time, your motor insurance policy with us will remain unaffected. You can travel to the Europe within the confines of your policy without informing us, and without a green card.

Arrangements for when the transition period has ended are yet to be agreed. However, we are continuously monitoring political developments and will communicate any implications to your policy as soon as possible.

For official guidance on visiting Europe once the transition period has ended, visit www.gov.uk/visit-europe-brexit.
