From then on the best route through the glorious Sussex countryside was clearly marked with more and more notable classics to be seen as we got closer and closer.
On arrival there were classics to be seen in all directions and that was just the car park; let alone the pre 1960 car park that was a destination in itself for enthusiasts of the great British sports car and plenty more besides.
That theme was at its peak at the excellent Earls Court Motor Show display before the paddock revealed its treasures including the ACs, Ferrari GTOs and Silver Arrows.
More than ever, people had made the effort to dress for the occasion to add to the visual appeal with the soundtrack from the track and aviation displays – the Revival gets better and better so make it a date for next year!
