Vintage Motor Cycle Club Midland Training day at Curborough Sprint Circuit.

06 June, 2012

Vintage Motor Cycle Club Midland Training day at Curborough Sprint Circuit.

Many thanks once again to the members of the VMCC. They are so considerate in sharing their passion for vintage bikes with others and encouraging that passion in them.

After the rain of the Jubilee Pageant the sun came out at Curborough for all but the lunch break.

VMCC members lent fellow members their bikes and patiently coached them one by one for each bike before letting them go off for three laps.

The impressive list of bikes brought by members was as follows with a few more turning up on the day.

Timely and poignant to realise that most were from a time before the 1952 coronation!

  • 1930 Ariel
  • 1925 Douglas
  • 1920 BSA
  • 1951 Vincent
  • 1956 Royal Enfield
  • 1943 James
  • 1939 BSA
  • 1934 New Imperial
  • 1929 Triumph
  • 1927 Rex Acme
  • 1918 Morgan
  • 1920 AJS
  • 1930 BSA
  • 1929 BSA
  • 1026 Dunelt
  • 1929 Velocette
  • 1930 Rudge Whitworth
  • 1948 Scott

Members even laid on Diamond Jubilee cakes and soft drinks!

Plenty arrived on classic and modern bikes with a couple of classic cars too.

Perfect day!

Many thanks and looking forward to the Banbury Run June 17.
