Classics for Carers is a stay at home motoring event for classic car and bike enthusiasts across the nation, with the aim of raising money for NHS Charities Together.
Returning in June, the National Stay At Home Motor Show is inviting classic car and bike owners, clubs and businesses to exhibit their classic vehicle as a display of appreciation for NHS carers and their remarkable effort and sacrifice during the pandemic.
Commenting on the event opener, organiser Nick Chivers said: “The response to the first event from classic car and bike owners, clubs and companies was truly inspirational. A real national statement of support for the brave and selfless NHS carers. On the day of the show, the individual and community led micro-motor shows were united across our media channels, to allow people to share their vehicles, displays and fundraising support.”
With many events cancelled and postponed, the first Classics for Carers event in May saw a significant uptake. Bringing together the individual and community fundraising exhibitions by car and bike enthusiasts across the United Kingdom and overseas, the national event raised over £13,500.
The 7th June show sequel will once again provide an opportunity to roll out your restoration or park your pride and joy on the driveway whilst adhering to current social distancing guidelines.
You can also take part in the event virtually by uploading an image of your classic to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #classicsforcarers.
