Date: July 14 2018
Location: Prescott Hill, GL52 9RD
This year marks the 80th anniversary since the inaugural event was held at Prescott in 1938. If you’ve never attended Prescott before, be ready for a great selection of motoring with an emphasis on an array of brilliant Bugattis.
Celebrations for this year will be primarily focused on creating a mass meeting for as many former Hillclimb record-holders as possible. There are already several attendees confirmed including David Boshier-Jones a 1960s pacesetter and contemporary six-time Hillclimb champion Scott Moran. Record-holding women will also be well represented at the event in the form of Sandra Tomlin, Sue Young and Margaret Blackstone-Schoiber. Many of the record-holders will be reunited with appropriate cars and will either partake in a full-on competition or a parade.
As well as the abundance of Bugattis and record-holders partaking in the event, there will be help on hand from the Bugatti Owners Club Members Handicap which includes single seaters, saloons and sports cars. There will also be a round of the New Barn Cheltenham Land Rover Specialists “B” Licence Championship and Bugatti Owners Club Aldon Classic Championship which will see a wide variety of cars testing the track.
There will be a strong 150 taking to the track with a special class for those competing in Bugattis. It will largely be a relaxing day of racing with excellent viewing for all because like the first event in 1938, Prescott allow access to all areas.
