The Royal Automobile Club's Historic Awards recognise excellence in the UK's classic motoring and motorsport industries. Collector and classic car insurance specialist, Footman James, are to sponsor the Motoring Spectacle award at the gala evening in November.
The Royal Automobile Club has a rich heritage as the oldest and most influential motoring organisation. It has been at the heart of the UK motoring scene since its inception in 1897, from its early days of promoting the use of the motor car to their famous motoring events such as the Veteran Car Run.
Their new set of historic annual awards will be awarded at a gala evening at the Club's Pall Mall clubhouse on Thursday 21 November 2019.

The award for Motoring Spectacle, sponsored by Footman James, aims to recognise the best classic and historic events (with no timed competitions) taking place across the UK throughout the year. These include concours d'elegance, tours, classic vehicle shows and club gatherings - any event that encapsulates a real sense of spectacle.
The Awards will be judged by a handpicked panel of highly-regarded names within the motoring industry. The nomination and judging process is paramount to the integrity of the awards, and each individual will have specific in-depth knowledge of the category they are judging.
