Footman James are the principal sponsor of the very first Rolling for Cancer fundraising event, taking place on the 19th February.
Back in 2019, Streetwise Motoring Events was born and this would form the foundation of Rolling for Cancer as we know it in 2022. With the pandemic shutting down all events for the foreseeable, the team at Rolling for Cancer had to think up a new plan.
Instead of being a location-based operation, they decided to bring the event to the people on the streets to raise money for Cancer Research. An eclectic mix of classics will be on display driving and riding through the beautiful Three Counties for one day only.
David Bond, Managing Director at Footman James commented, “As a company we are always looking for opportunities to raise awareness of and support good causes. Rolling for Cancer seemed like the perfect fit for us. We can marvel over the classics on display, whilst also helping to fundraise for a cure to an illness that is very likely to touch all of us in our lifetime.”
Anyone who wishes to be a part of the day, can donate a £35 entry fee, which includes souvenir event badge, sticker, road book, wristband, event lanyard, breakfast roll, hot drinks, lunch buffet and evening awards reception buffet. Plus, if you are local to the Three Counties, you can see the vehicles drive through the towns and villages for free.
