Last Sunday, we were delighted to host the first Coffee & Chrome car meet for over 18 months. The event was a spectacular return to form, as an eclectic mix of over 350 classic and collectable vehicles descended on the legendary Prescott Hill Climb venue.
Attendees were met with a warm welcome, with complimentary bacon rolls and a surprise appearance of sunshine combining to create a fantastic day. The turnout featured a cracking selection of icons and rarities – proof, if it was ever needed, that enthusiasts are hungry to get back to what they enjoy most.
Rare gems included a Bond Equipe convertible, DMC DeLorean and a Lotus Carlton, not to mention a strong showing from Blackpool’s finest, TVR. The huge variety of classics on display represented Footman James’ broad range of customers, with enthusiasts of all ages being brought together to share their passion for all things automotive.
As usual, Footman James’ MD David Bond was part of the team behind the event, ensuring that guests made the most of the day. “The chance to get out, catch up with old faces and meet new customers and enthusiasts was great. The Coffee & Chrome mornings allow us to host relaxed and inclusive gatherings, where cars of all makes and ages can be appreciated. With this return having gone so well, we’re now busy planning the next one.”
Prescott Hill also had plenty to offer – the historic venue, which opened in 1929, is the home of The Bugatti Trust and Visitor Centre. Guests had the chance to tour the Bugatti Museum, with exhibitions celebrating the famous French marque’s dazzling pedigree.
The August Coffee & Chrome event was a chance to crown the winner of the Footman James Show Us Your Shed competition. Lee Sunderland and his family made the journey down in their marvellously presented classic Mini, to be presented with a unique trophy and bespoke artwork by David Bond.
If you missed out on August’s majestic Coffee & Chrome comeback, don’t despair. The event is back on Sunday 2nd February 2022, hosted at the Impney Estate, Droitwich. Space is limited to 500 vehicles - register online now to secure your place.
