Excess Protect

An Excess is the first amount of a claim that you are responsible to pay.

Excess Protect allows you to claim back your excess in the event of a motor claim occurring during the period of insurance. The Insurer will pay you an amount equal to the excess as stated on your Schedule of Insurance, in relation to each settled claim on your main insurance policy, up to an annual total limit of £150, £500 or £1,000.

Choose from Excess Protect 150 for £150 worth of cover, Excess Protect 500 for £500 worth of cover or Excess Protect 1000 for £1,000 worth of cover.

Cover is managed by Coplus which is a trading name of Motorplus Limited and underwritten by Collinson Insurance.

 Significant Exclusions and Limitations

You are not covered for:

  • an excess which applies solely in respect of windscreen or glass damage claims.

  • claims exceeding the total aggregate limit that you have selected, during the period of insurance.

  • The insurer will not pay any excess in respect of theft or attempted theft of personal effects where there is no vehicle damage;

  • any claim that arises as a result of a deliberate action by you or anyone associated with you.
