Making the most of the unseasonably warm Autumn months so far, Footman James looks at the upcoming shows for automotive enthusiasts in November 2018.
From large-scale events such as the Classic Car Show at the NEC, to the Veteran Car Run and even motorcycle-related events, not to mention the Footman James Classic Vehicle Restoration show, there’s something for everyone to enjoy all over the UK this month.
Now in its 18th year, the Footman James Classic Vehicle Restoration Show embraces the essence of classic cars and preserving them for the future. From untouched barn finds to completely pristine and finished concours projects, it’s the perfect place to meet like-minded individuals and embrace the joy of classic car restoration. You can buy tickets on the door and online for just £10 per day.
Footman James will once again be attending the show as show sponsors, where we will be bringing this beautiful 1961 Standard Vanguard Luxury Six as seen below.
This Standard Vanguard Luxury Six was built on the 20th January 1961 and was fitted with a six-cylinder engine and twin carburettors after replacing the 1960 Vignali. With a new 1998cc engine, it allowed the vehicle to reach speeds of 90mph, which was a great improvement from the older examples. So, if you are coming to the show, why not come along and see this stunning classic car for yourself and find out more about this classic car here.
With a line-up of cars spanning 125 years, this annual event celebrates the very essence of motoring. Organised by the Royal Automobile Club, veteran, vintage, classic and modern-day cars line up on Regent’s Street for all automotive enthusiasts to enjoy. Free to attend, the street-based show lasts from 10:30 until 16:00 for one day only.
Famed as the world’s longest-running motoring event, the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run attracts applicants from all over the globe. More than 400 veteran cars (all of which were built before 1906) travel the 50-mile journey from London to Brighton. Free to watch, you’ll have to get to Hyde Park London before 07:00 to see the cars and teams set off.
Brought to you by Ultimate Dubs UK, this event is primarily for car tuners and stanced car lovers.
