The Christmas break is one of the few times of year you can enjoy completely guilt-free downtime – even if you’re using it to relax and scroll through Instagram…
Fortunately, the website Classic Driver has compiled a list of 10 collector car specialists that should definitely be appearing on your feed:
1. Fiskens | @Fiskens_cars
This Kensington-based dealership pitches itself as the place “where the world's greatest cars come to be sold”.
Its feed is full of beautiful imagery of historic motors, such as a 1920s Bentley, 1930s Tourer and a chic white 1954 Jaguar XK120.
Fiskens is internationally acknowledged as the foremost dealer in fine historic automobiles.
2. Pannhorst Classics | @Pannhorstclassics
This German restoration and vehicle import firm has a focus on Porsches, and its Insta-profile is filled with flash red interiors and shiny chassis.
3. Bell Classics | @Bell.classics
Based in St Albans, Bell Classics has been around since the 1980s but that hasn’t stopped it making serious strides into the digital age. This prolific feed is filled with classic Ferraris and Aston Martins.
4. Kautschuk Klassik | @Kautschukklassik
Another German-based specialist, Kautschuk is a restoration firm that specialises in international manufacturers, from the great British badges of Jaguar and Rolls Royce, to the iconic US emblems of Buick and Cadillac.
5. Duncan Hamilton ROFGO | @Duncanhamiltonrofgo
Its profile reads “World leaders in historic and competition car sales” and Rofgo is the name of the firm’s associated racing company that travels around the world competing.
6. Serge Heitz | @sergeheitzautomobileconsulting
This Strasberg firm didn’t stray far from its roots in its specialism, and prides itself on restoring retro Porsches – which originated just an hour or so down the road in Stuttgart.
7. Canepa Motorsport | @Canepamotorsport
This Californian company is more than just a restoration firm and dealership, and at its base in the hills of the Santa Cruz mountains it boasts a vibrant motorsport museum – making its varied images very Insta-worthy.
8. Aston Martin Works | @Astonmartinworks
These specialist sellers and restoration experts hail from Newport Pagnell, and as you would expect, its feed is all things Aston Martin – cars, costumes and automobilia.
9. Dylan Miles Ltd. | @Dylanmilescars
Although new to Instagram having joined in August, this profile reflects the entrenched experience and history of Dylan Miles.
His dad Simon is a restorer of Brough Superior and Brooklands racing motorcycles, and Dylan himself has had an esteemed career, working at RM Sothebys, Fiskens, Autosport Designs Inc and JD Classics.
10. Konzept Automobile | @Konzeptautomobile
Based in Portugal, Konzept is a far edgier feed, featuring more modern classics such as a Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato, a Ducati 1199 Superlaggera and even a Citroen AX GT
