Hampton Court Palace, located in the borough of Richmond upon Thames and once home to King Henry VIII, opens its gardens for one of the most prestigious automotive events of the year.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This year will be the UK’s eighth international Concours competition, so, expect rare cars dating back to the earliest pioneering models all the way to the present day.

THE CONCOURS

The crown jewels of the automotive industry will be on display at this year’s Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace, with some of the rarest cars from around the globe uniting for one epic Concours display.

Unlike many Concours competitions, this Concours of Elegance allows the owners of the cars to vote for other models that are on display, which will then go on to win ‘Best in Show’. Last year’s winner was the stunning Mercedes-Benz Type Barker ‘Boot Tail’.

THE GRAND ARRIVAL

Many people come to Hampton Court Palace for the beautiful display of vehicles in the Concours area. However, on Friday 6th September, another spectacle will take place as sixty of the finest vehicles across the UK will arrive as they drive into the charming gardens of the palace which date back 500 years.

THE FOOTMAN JAMES PADDOCK

As official insurance partner for the Concours of Elegance, Footman James will present a stand-alone paddock hosting a range of iconic cars throughout the event.

The paddock display will represent the variety of vehicles Footman James can insure through their bespoke Private Clients policy. Eight hand-picked cars will be on display over the three days, changing every day of the event. 

ASTON MARTIN ZAGATO CELEBRATORY DISPLAY

For the first time ever, the Concours of Elegance has announced a world first as an exhibit of every Aston Martin Zagato variant ever manufactured will be on display. From the 1960 DB4 GT Zagato, to the Vanquish Zagato Coupe, attendees will be able to browse an amazing 16 examples of the vehicle.

Thanks to the Aston Martin Owners Club (AMOC), supported by Aston Martin Lagonda and Zagato, the celebratory display will include a range of rare and unique models, including one of the most famous racing Aston Martins in history!

CAR CLUBS

On the Saturday and Sunday, car clubs from across the UK will come together as they park their car in the gardens of Hampton Court Palace. The event will see some of the most prestigious car club marques attend, with the likes of Aston Martin, Ferrari, Jaguar, Bentley and Rolls Royce.

THE CLUB TROPHY

Along with an incredible display from the Concours cars, there will be hundreds of other remarkable machines being showcased, including entrants to The Club Trophy.

2019, will see the fourth edition of The Club Trophy take place on Saturday 7th September. Dedicated to some of the UK’s finest car clubs who offer to display prestigious vehicles to represent their marque.

An independent panel of judges will be closely monitoring each vehicle on display before crowning one club with The Club Trophy. The winning vehicle will then automatically win a spot in 2020’s main Concours of Elegance event. 

SPECIALISTS’ SHOWCASE

The UK’s best automotive specialists will be on hand in the Specialists’ Showcase area, showing their work along with some of the most fascinating vehicles they have in stock.

Traders include Aston Martin specialists Nicholas Mee, London-based classic car retailer Fiskens, Footman James partners Classic Motor Club and historic motor car seller Duncan Hamilton, along with many more.

LUXURY EXHIBITORS

Along with specialists from the field of classic car dealerships, Concours of Elegance will also have an array of luxury exhibitors displaying their products for sale.

Take part in a luxury shopping trip as pop-up boutiques will show off their craftsmanship with the likes of Lock & Co, Hatters, Henry Pool, Collier and Dobson, just to name a few.

THE OCTANE TOUR

A 90-mile journey will take place as the Octane Tour embarks on their exhibition ending at Hampton Court Palace on Sunday 8th September.

The tour is open to all owners of modern and classic cars, sports cars and GT cars.

The tour will begin at Cliveden House where participants enjoy a delightful breakfast before setting out on the route. The tour will see the cars meander through Surrey and Berkshire until they reach the lawns at Hampton Court Palace.

All participants will gain VIP parking in the Octane Tour display and a three-course lunch with wine in the hospitality section.

Tours cost £195 per person (excluding VAT). Entrants will also receive unlimited admission to the Concours an Octane Tour momentum window sticker, a guest badge and a souvenir catalogue.

FOOD & DRINK

Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace not only invite the very best from the automotive industry but tempts unbeatable food and drink vendors to gain a spot at the event.

Sip on delicious drinks from the back of a Mini Cooper, sing ‘God Save the Cream’ with ice cream from Cream & Country, step back in time with Mac to the Future, or tuck into Crabbieshack’s British street food.

Tom’s Kitchen picnics are also available to order prior to the event, offering delicious British picnic jute bags.

Please note: You cannot purchase a picnic bag at the event and must order a picnic in advance.

HOSPITALITY ADMISSION

The Concours of Elegance Hospitality tickets includes morning tea, coffee, pastries, a champagne reception, three-course lunch with fine wines, coffee and petits four, afternoon tea, reserved VIP parking and a souvenir catalogue.
