Date: August 16-18, 2019
Location: Stratford-Upon-Avon Racecourse, Luddington Road, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 9SE.
Welcome to the UK’s largest Triumph Show! The inaugural Triumph Weekend will be in the beautiful Warwickshire area of Stratford-Upon-Avon at the Stratford-Upon-Avon Racecourse, just a short walk away from the home of Shakespeare and the historic town centre.
Organised by Footman James affiliated club partner, the Triumph Sports Six Club and the TR Register, the show is certainly going to be a blast for classic car enthusiasts that adore this marque.
Celebrating 60 Years of the Triumph Herald
Known as one of the most loved cars ever produced by Triumph, the Triumph Herald will be celebrating its 60th anniversary over the weekend. Launched in 1959, the Triumph Herald was produced to replace the ageing Standard 10 and straight away the Herald Triumph-ed with fans. Designed by Giovanni Michelotti the classic car has round visibility, great tight turning circle and back seats; and that’s not even mentioning the groovy style of the sixties.
Celebrating 50 Years of the Triumph TR6
In 1968 the Triumph TR6 was manufactured, however, it did not go on sale until 1969. Designed by German styling house Karmann, the TR certainly was edgy with its square design and its wild sound.
Stratford-Upon-Avon
Just a 5-minute drive away from the racecourse, or a 20-minute walk, you will reach the historic site of Stratford-Upon-Avon Town Centre. The centre is home to the beautiful market town that has over 800 years of history, containing buildings that were familiar to Shakespeare. Find a variety of leisure activities, accommodation and shopping experiences in this quaint little town that has so much to offer to visitors.
Fancy staying over without the ‘glitz and glam’ of camping; then why not stay in one of the local hotels? There’s a variety of local accommodation around the surrounding area, including hotels and B&Bs. You can find these situated outside or in the centre of Stratford-Upon-Avon town.
Please note: Under 16’s go FREE. Dogs are welcome on the campsite but must always be accompanied.
