DRIVE LIVE

Test driving cars were first offered at Silverstone Classic in 2018. This year Drive Live returns as you can soar down the open roads in the beautiful Buckinghamshire and Northampton countryside. Last year there was even something for the younger enthusiast too as Drive Live allowed enthusiasts from the age of 10 to get behind the wheel of a brand new dual controlled Vauxhall Corsa. The initiative proved popular last year, so no doubt it will get the same love in 2019.

WORLD GP BIKE LEGENDS

The world of Grand Prix bike racing has produced some of the very best racers we will ever see in our life-time, and this year, Silverstone Classic will be bringing back the legends, including world champions, Wayne Gardner, Freddie Spencer and Raymond Roche.

The show’s World GP Legends will help power a new bike zone, MotoWorld, which highlights the world of motorbikes and is a place where visitors will be able to view the spectacular spectacle of some of the most aesthetically pleasing and beautiful sounding bikes around. MotoWorld also gives the opportunity for participating manufacturers to offer visitors a ride of a life time as attendees can test ride their latest showroom models.

Not only this, the racing bikes will be put through their paces on the Grand Circuit, ridden by motorbike racing legends, who you will get the chance to meet between the track demonstrations.

MIKE BREWER’S CAR CLINIC

Classic car personality and presenter of ‘Wheeler Dealers’ Mike Brewer, will be at Silverstone Classic with his Car Clinic.

The Car Clinic will host an array of presentations and has since become one of Silverstone Classics’ off-track highlights. Cars up for judgement day include rare and iconic cars and historic classic cars from Chevrolet and Daimler; plus as part of Ford Capri’s 50th anniversary, Mike Brewer will be scrutinising one of the final fastback models to have come off the production line.

FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT

Silverstone Classic has a range of entertainment for the whole family, including:

Village Green

You and your family can enjoy the Village Green free of charge, where you can go to the highest heights of the Big Wheel, dodge each other on the dodgems, or take a spin on the carousel. For golf lovers, why not get the family competitive with the Village Green 9-hole Crazy Golf course? Or, if you fancy a more relaxed vibe, head to the museum displays.

Shopping Village

Over the weekend visit the pop-up shops in the shopping village, located next to the Village Green. With over 100 exhibitors and retailers set up, you will have plenty to keep you busy, from browsing your next fashion statement, purchasing toys and models, or by picking up that special piece of memorabilia.

Live Music

Not only will the Ford Capri be celebrating its 50th anniversary, but so will the world’s most famous rock festival, Woodstock.

If you are ready for some rock and roll, then attend Silverstone Classic on Friday or Saturday, where you will hear and see tributes to the musical talents of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jimi Hendrix and The Who, just to name a few.
