Bicester Heritage welcomes new addition to its Motor Transport Yard

One of the UK’s biggest and brightest centres for motoring excellence is welcoming a specialist Porsche dealership to its hub.

Sports Purpose will be based in the Motor Transport Yard at Bicester Heritage in Oxfordshire, and will showcase authentic models as well as parts and automobilia related to the prestigious marque.

Speaking of its new addition, Dan Geoghegan, MD of Bicester Heritage, says: “Sports Purpose represents a new standard and approach in the historic Porsche sales arena; their enviable knowledge, expertise and passion fits in with Bicester Heritage's own vision for excellence in the historic motoring world.”

Genuine examples of motoring excellence

The showcase of all things Porsche will include a beautifully presented showroom, with authenticated examples of both modern and classic car models that have been well-researched by the firm’s team of experts.

Formed by friends John Brewer and James Turner, the company is the consequence of their desire to bring the very best collectors’ Porsches and contemporary automotive rivals to enthusiasts.

“We are extremely proud to take up residence at Bicester Heritage to sell and to source cars,” says James Turner, founder director of Sports Purpose.

Its stunning showroom is based inside the RAF Bicester’s former Special Repair Workshop within the Motor Transport Yard, and forms part of Bicester Heritage’s recently-completed fourth phase of restoration.

The exquisite line-up of Porsches is matched by the well-preserved Grade II listed yard it now calls its home.

Mr Brewer adds: “We want our customers to have the perfect car, and we’ll strive to find it for them.”
