Next February (23rd-26th), London’s ExCeL centre will play host to the London Classic Car Show.
And any motoring fans visiting the event will be treated to the ‘Perfect 10’.
Well, the Perfect 100 really…
The 10 very best examples of classic cars in 10 different body styles will drive down The Grand Avenue – the show’s very own car catwalk – across the 4-day celebration of classics.
The 10 body types to expect are:
• Saloon
• Coupé
• Convertible
• Sports car
• Supercar
• Hatchback
• Shooting brake or woodie
• Sports racer
• Single-seater
• Aerodynamic pioneer or streamliner.
As if this collection of 100 of the greatest classic cars to ever grace the road wasn’t enough, each category will feature at least one competition car.
Bas Bungish, event director, admits that defining a ‘Perfect 10’ is never easy, but guaranteed the selection will be ‘outstanding’.
He said that “everyone has their own ideas about their favourite classic and I’m sure there will be plenty of debate during the show about what constitutes the Perfect 10.
“But visitors can be sure that the cars we put forward in each of the 10 categories will be outstanding examples of each body style.”
Choosing the Perfect 10 from those, he admits, is not going to be easy.
The ‘Perfect 10’ is going to be a real treat for classic car fans, after the success of last year’s ‘Six Nations’ theme. This year features something particularly special, with the Grand Avenue including an open paddock for fans wanting an up close and personal look at the dream motors.
Also this year, every ticket to The London Classic Car Show includes entry to the inaugural Historic Motorsport International, a separate event dedicated to historic racing and rallying.
