Supercar of the century to be decided at Classic & Sports Car show

The greatest supercar made over the last 100 years is to be chosen at this year’s Classic & Sports Car Show, proudly sponsored by Footman James.

Following a huge poll of classic car enthusiasts from all over the world, a shortlist of astonishing machines has been put together to choose from.

Ten finalists of the 'A Century of Supercars' contest will line up on the central display of the event, with the one that gains the most votes revealed on the day. Head over the event website to pick your favourite motor and get your tickets.

It all takes place at Alexandra Palace in London from October 28 to 30.

Driving a classic super car

The supercar shortlist is made up of the Mercedes 1908 GP, Bentley 41/2-litre Blower, Alfa Romeo 8C, Jaguar XK120 and the Mercedes 300SL “Gullwing”. The Lamborghini Miura, Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari F40, McLaren F1, Bugatti Veyron and McLaren P1 complete the list.

The Classic & Sports Car show will feature more than 300 of the world’s most prestigious and well-loved classic cars with displays from some of the best dealers in the business.

Visitors to the event will be treated to the sight and sound of some of the world’s most iconic historic cars as they take part in a host of parades in the Palace grounds.

Over on the Live Interview Stage, world champion on two and four wheels, John Surtees CBE and Jaguar test driver, Norman Dewis OBE are set to thrill visitors with entertaining stories from their illustrious careers.

Other highlights include a classic car auction with world-renowned Coys and a feature showing the restoration of a unique Jaguar XK120.
