The Newest Member of the Footman James Team

At Footman James, we’re very excited to be unveiling our newly restored show van at the Practical Classics Restoration Show on March 23rd – 25th.

Three months ago, we fell in love with a 1987 VW T25 camper conversion complete with its classic VW Polo trailer. It was in good condition but it did need a little bit of TLC, so Practical Classics and CBR Motor Bodies stepped in to help us with the restoration work. They have both worked tirelessly to give the T25 the care and attention it needs in time for it to shine on our stand at the Practical Classics Restoration Show. There is just the one task left to make the restoration work complete – the signage and decals. This finishing touch will be applied live on our stand at the show on Friday.

Our new van isn’t just for display though! It will be hitting the road soon after the show on the FBHVC’s Drive it Day on Sunday 22nd April, journeying from Chateau Impney Hill Climb to the Classic Motor Hub, before joining us on our adventure with Practical Classics in May to find Britain’s Best Classic Destination. In the latest issue of Practical Classics magazine, the top ten destinations as voted for by the public have been announced. From the Kelpies in Scotland to Moretonhampstead Motor Museum in Dartmoor, our T25 will be visiting all ten destinations to determine which place will take the top spot and be named Britain’s Best Classic Destination. The full route will be announced on Sunday March 25th at Practical Classics Restoration Show, and you’ll be able to keep up to date with our journey on our website and by following us on social media.

You’ll also be able to spot our van at several other events throughout the year, such as at the British Mini Club’s Himley Hall Day in May and at the Chateau Impney Hill Climb in July to name just a few.

We look forward to introducing you to our T25 at an event near you soon!
